I have been working on a series of figurative paintings for a few months now. I have been using myself as a model, and having my kids help me with the photographs that I have been using as a jumping off point for the paintings. The kids are enjoying their new level of involvement in the creative process...it used to be just do you like it or not. I am trying to keep these very loose and painterly. The images move from realistic to somewhat absract with some loosly drawn cartoony elements. This painting is #4 in the series and is untitled. I am currently debating whether or not to add a box of Krispy Kremes into the picture...the jury is still out.

I think your figurative paintings are absolutely wonderful! What a great series. I have been doing too many small watercolors lately - I am inspired!
