I just finished this new pastel that I have been working on for quite a while. I have been all over the place lately trying this thing and that thing. Now I have this collection of artwork that runs the spectrum from very absract to loose and whimsical. I was reading a french cook book and it had all of these pictures of cafes, pastry shops and bakeries. The book put me in the mood for food and it made me think of sharing it with a friend. This picture also looked like a scene from spring when everything is in bloom. Unfortunately, I live in Minnesota, and the only things in bloom are the things that live in my imagination.
